Being a good Sibe

Allo All!
The weather's been very fickle lately over here. It starts with clear skies, followed by sudden showers and thunder..:( then it starts to get fair again and when you thought it's safe to go out, it pours on you! That's what happened to me and mommy the other day. We had to take shelter at the bus stop for a bit before continuing our walk.
Speaking of the weather, mom's been feeling a little under the weather too lately. She's not sick or anything, she's just missing some of her friends who have moved somewhere far away and some who have left and crossed the human rainbow bridge. Plus she's been wanting to take a short break but was unable to due to some schedule change and bad timing..

I did my best to lift her spirits and keep her in cheery moods and took her to places! :))
Brought her to the beach to catch the morning skies
sat with her at her favorite spot

even posed nicely for her flashy box
we watched the morning sun greet us
and continued our walk down the beach
leaving our paw prints and foot prints
 in the sand
got home and spend the day cuddling with mom

The next day, we took her to the gardens and watch the streams
 Check it out mommy;
went home and had some sushi (mom's favorite kind)
and a plate of grilled squid

This was on one of the days when the weather was not so friendly..
but it soon lighten up again
So i took mom for a car ride in the evening
and  we went to the car wash place
followed by some frozen yoghurt time!
by the time we got home, i was
 well...
The next day i was up early at my post
Did my morning doga session with her
Took her to Fort Canning Park
Let's go mom!
*
I think that did it for her, when we got home
she went straight to zzz..
Phew!
It's hard work..!! but some pup's gotta do it!
Now then, time for MY nap!

Mom's doing better now, she knows that i've got her back always and vice versa.
Here's hoping that your weekend will be a wonderful and relaxing one!

Mommy would like to share this poem with all of woo:

I look into your eyes and can see,
The trust that is built between you and me.
You never judge me when I am blue,
You are a friend that's always true.
The life you lead is like that of a child,
Sometimes you're calm and sometimes wild.
We walk outside every day,
And that is when we both like to play.
If life was as simple as it seems to be for you,
We would be content and happy too.
Your loyalty is one of love,
You are a gift from heaven above.
Its hard to think of you as just a pet,
When you are the best friend I could ever get.
I know to most you're only a dog that lives here,
But to me your the friend that is always near.

Maxx, give your Mom a gentle snooter smoochie from each of us. It is hard to lose loved ones no matter whether they have moved away or crossed the bridge. But you are doing a great job making her feel better. You have so many beautiful places to visit - we know that must make her smile.

Beautiful poem, thanks for sharing. Mom loved it.

That brought tears to our mom's eyes - but in a good way! So very beautiful, Maxx! And we KNOW you're a big help to your mom! Give her a hug for me, OK?

Dave

Sorry to hear about the losses your Mommy has gone through. Maxx isn't the best part about being a dog being mommy's best friend and taking care of her? So glad you are right by her side.
